With on- demand the viewer now has complete control over programming and can now watch whatever they want whenever they want. On-demand has brought audiences to the next level of controlled entertainment with this spontaneous form of media. On-demand also plays the movies commercial free and through general census and customer feedback on-demand can serve the audience by playing the movies that the majority wants to watch. 2. There has been some desire by the public to have la carte programming on cable. What are positive and negative implications of this form of delivery? La carte would hurt cable networks because ad rates would go down and cable would be a much less attractive buy compared to other outlets. Many say la carte is one of the worst ideas they have ever heard and that it would lead to more consolidation and fewer voices.
