Microbiology Day 6 10:23 -Cell have proteins that act on anything you add to it to make it active. Proteins/drugs need to be processed in body before activated which may not occur in vitro Important thing is that paper shows the possibility that the invasive factor could be made in situ. We need to see if these can be applied to different situations. -You need to find who cited this article and find what happens since, and look at whats happened since. If the paper hasn't been cited, it's a dead issue, meaning its proved to be nothing. If cited a lot, then people are still looking at it so it's important. -When you look at data, you have to see what happens in vitro and if it works in your body. - Under normal bright-field, cells are more transparent. When it's dark, the waves are out of sync -Phase contrast, the light is bent before it hits the object, so it combines refracted light and you get more contrast. For fluorescence microscopy, it can either fluoresce by natural mechanisms, or lab induced methods.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
