EXPERIMENT EC3 DC CIRCUITS WITH RESISTORS AND CAPACITORS The values of the equipment used in the experiment are as follows = 200 Ω = 100 Ω = 51 Ω = 0.22 f μ = 1.00 f μ = 0.50 f μ V - 1 I tabulated the data obtained in the following chart. 10 -28.22 28.22 3.34 20 -26.69 26.69 3.28 30 -25.24 25.24 3.23 40 -23.87 23.87 3.17 50 -22.59 22.59 3.12 60 -21.37 21.37 3.06 80 -19.12 19.12 2.95 100 -17.17 17.17 2.84 120 -15.41 15.41 2.74 140 -13.80 13.80 2.62 160 -12.35 12.35 2.51 180 -11.05 11.05 2.40 200 -9.91 9.91 2.29 220 -8.86 8.86 2.18 240 -7.96 7.96 2.07 R 1 R 2 R 3 C 1 C 2 C 3 In the first experiment, we connected the switch S 2 to R 1 and the Switch S 3 to C 1 . We then connected the power supply to points P 4 and P 5 , and the electrometer to points P 3 and P 4 . We then disconnected the power supply, and connected the switch S 1 to P 2 , simultaneously starting the timer. We obtained the value of V R at a number of different time intervals. Time ( s ) Voltage V R ( V ) |V R | ( V ) ln |V R | ( V )
