Truth
The truth contains several meanings. One form of truth is the truth of reality.
Reality or universal truth would be statistical or unchangeable events. For example, Tim
O’Brien wrote the novel,
The Things they Carried
. This statement is true because Tim
O’Brien is the author of the novel. It is also believed that there is no standard truth,
meaning the truth has an altered meaning to each individual based on one’s perception,
known as personal truths. Another form of truth is personal truth, which depict one’s
own individual thoughts and ideas. Thus, the truth can vary because it can either be
based on whether the truth is reality and cannot be changed, or if the truth is one’s
personal truth.
My personal truths may not be the same as somebody else’s personal truths. It is
important that I treat others with respect, and do the right thing. For example, if
