Article Review1Episodic memory is a person’s unique account of a specific event. This will be differentthan another person’s who was involved in the same event. Episodic memory is only one part ofa person’s long-term memory. Remembering what has happened in the past is part of what makesus who we are. Roberts and Richmond look at the cognitive process deficits in adults with DownSyndrome and how those deficits affect their learning.Memories make us the people we are. A person’s long-term memory is made up ofepisodic memory and semantic memory. Forming episodic memory uses different parts of thebrain to encode the event, engrain the event into a person’s brain and finally recollection.
