That style of writing was Magic Realism, this topic was in each of the shortstories. Magic Realism is defined as a literary genre or style associated especially with LatinAmerica that incorporates fantastic or mythical elements into otherwise realistic fiction. In myopinion Magic Realism makes the stories much more interesting for the readers, also it makeseach story that much more descriptive. Each story in the module shows this and we will talkabout how Magic Realism is shown throughout.The first story I want to talk about is ”Culinary Lesson” by Rosario Castellanos. Thisstory has a few Magic Realism lines used throughout the passage. I want to begin with rightaway on the first page, a few of the lines are very descriptive, way more than normal stories. “ Oris it the halo of disinfectants, the cushioned steps of the nurses, the hidden presence of sicknessand death that does it?” (43).
