These include valves, cylinders, gauges, fittings & pumps. These components’ related ANSI symbols will also be presented.ProcedureExercise 1A basic hydraulic circuit was shown, and the Bosch hydraulic & pneumatic trainers were presented along with all of thecomponents necessary to build said circuit. The components were studied and then the circuit was connected using the components and the trainers.Exercise 2A list of components was given before a table was created to document a drawing and ANSI/ISO symbol of the component and demonstrate understanding of the component’s construction, function and applications.Exercise 3A list of components was given before a table was created to document each component’s ANSI/ISO symbol demonstrate understanding of their purposes.ResultsThe Results for the labs are enclosed in the attached lab handouts.Conclusions/RecommendationsIt is imperative to be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic system components when studying fluid power transmission. It is especially important for technical professionals to have a solid understanding of their advantages, disadvantages, and applications to increase comprehension. It is recommended that an exhaustive source(s) be provided that contain each of these components to improve the efficiency of completing the report, thereby reducing mental fatigue and allowing students to allocate more time and energy to truly learning the material and less to
Googling. Furthermore, it is also recommended to consider evaluating each component’s advantages and disadvantages when appropriate.Real-world applicationsBeing able to identify hydraulic and pneumatic system components and their functions, ANSI/ISO symbols, and
