Background and Current Status When, the Malden Mills factory, a factory that made Polartec fabrics, burned to the ground on December 11, 1995, the factory owner, Aaron Feuerstein had to make a decision as to whether or not to move his factory to a more economical location overseas, which many CEO’s were doing at that time, or whether rebuild the factory where it had previously stood for so many years. While many other business owners may have rebuilt the factory overseas to save money, Mr. Feuerstein decided to rebuild the factory in the exact location it had previously been.
