Mark Lopian 1/6/2014 AP World Compare and Contrast Mongol rule in Asia and parts of Europe had a huge impact on political and economic rule. Specifically Mongols had bigger impacts on China and the Middle East. Some of these impacts include, the changes the Mongols had on politics and economics in China, and the changes they had on the politics and economics in the Middle East. The Mongols gained rule over China in 1279 C.E. At this time the Mongolian people had a diverse religion, such religions as Buddhism, Islam, Taoism, and Christianity. The first Mongolian leader in china was Kublai Khan who was born in 1215 C.E. When he died in 1294 C.E his grandson, Temur Oljeitu, Succeeded him. Temur Oljeitu made peace with Japan and maintained reasonable prosperity. The emperors who followed him after his early death in 1307 were of a lesser Quality then he or his grandfather Kublai Khan was. Later on in 1370 C.E China’s new emperor Hong-wu, was concerned about military strength and stopping Mongol revolt.
