This conditioning is evident in many fields for instance, in dogs training. Dogsharbor a naturally occurring stimulus of salivating after seizing a glimpse of food. Therefore adog handler who feeds a lot of dogs might decide to condition the dogs on the feeding timesusing a whistle. In the beginning stage the neutral stimulus, when the dog handler blows thewhistle the dogs will not respond in any way. Therefore the handler decides to condition thedogs by blowing the whistle every time he or she is feeding the dogs.This conditions thedog’s brain such that each time the whistle is blown, it translates the whistle as a time to feedand the dog will automatically salivate with or without food (Noel, 2010). Therefore the dogsare conditioned that way.
