Brittany Graham-Young Writing for the Workplace Professor Guay, Sue March 18, 2012 Career Shadowing Response During this career shadowing opportunity, I had the privilege of meeting some truly inspiring people. While on spring break I visited the Ally financial company to shadow an employee there by the name of David Coit. He was the project developer of a team of programmers. The project developer is the person who develops software. Their job usually consists of developing, researching and testing software. Therefore they may need to do some computer programming and/or some project management. Not only did he show me the nooks and crannies of the developing job but he also introduced me to some other employees who were apart of his team. There were about four to five people apart of his team at the time and they all work on individual sub-tasks within a larger programming project. I noticed and Mr. Coit pointed out that employees there go on a lot of call meetings. Where a group or team gets on a private
