Unformatted text preview: nt to flatter the audience that night, but that was the most powerful holiday spirit I’ve ever witnessed. As I am not very familiar with those songs, I chose to listen. I noticed that the elderly woman behind me had one of the most crisp, refreshing, beautiful, and strong soprano voices I’d ever heard. I have half a mind to tell the BSU Music Department to contact her and allow her to be part of the Meistersingers! The overall mood of the theater lightened after the sing- a- long, and it was just an amazing feeling to be a part of it all. The last song before intermission was A Special Holiday Celebration by the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band. In essence, it was a different arrangement of Sleigh Ride. It was arranged by the band director, Joe Tornello. This piece was possibly my favorite because the band ended up closing with the BSU fight song, and they danced around.
