Unformatted text preview: ts. I thoroughly enjoyed the part where, whilst the piece was in full motion, I could pick out
the violas plucking the strings. I’m not sure which movement it was, but the clarinets played a big role
and it took me awhile to realize which instrument it was that was forming a strong foundation.
Last but not least was The Many Moods of Christmas performed by the BSU Combined
Choirs and Symphony Orchestra. The soloist, Shelby Ann Boice, captivated the stage. I really felt that
her solo added to the arrangement. The BSU symphony really surprised me. Along with this song, each
piece they played kept me on the edge of my seat. I’d never seen the symphony before, and I might just
have to voluntarily attend more concerts. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this concert more than the first
one because of the cozy Christmas spirit and all of the new arrangements I’d never heard before. I
wouldn’t mind making it a new tradition of my own to go to the holiday concert each year....
