The current traditional curricula in our schools are based on the dominant group’s histories, experiences, and perspectives. As a classroom teacher, if the textbooks you are assigned to use include no information or examples pertaining to groups other than European, what can you do to provide a balanced and realistic view of society to students? How could you include the Bank’s model? Provide an example from each level of the Bank’s model. 3. What is multicultural education? Is multicultural education as important to students of the dominant culture as to students of other cultures? Why or why not?
