2Matilda’s Child development is about the movie Matilda and how it relates to a child’s development. Matilda is a young girl who develops just fine, but it comes with conflicts. Her family is just not a good support system and causes problems. What will be discussed are the educational aspects, social/ economical structure, cultural expectation and development, family systems, and health care systems. All of these topics pertain directly to the development of a child. Each topic will be explained and related directly to the movie itself. This is not to prove any points, but to explain how there are different ways a child develops depending on their situation. Matilda’s story is different from many children, but relates to reality. These topics are put into detail because of how much a child develops. The book Child Growth and Development is used as well as other sources. All in all this is about a normal child’s development being compared to Matilda in the movie “Matilda”.
Matilda’s child DevelopmentMatilda’s Development The movie “Matilda” is a movie about a girl named Matilda, who is not welcome in her family from the gecko. The family throws her in the trunk as a newborn un buckled and then leaves her there when they get home. The family is very forgetful and uncaring. As Matilda starts to mature and grow up into her young childhood, she is forced to do everything on her own. She is treated poorly to the point it could affect her development, but she is a strong smart girl. Her intelligence is way beyond what it should be for her age and that is because of how much she loved reading. Throughout the movie, there are points where she seems scared because of the actions she witnesses, but she is one brave girl. When in school, the principle throws kids in a dungeon like area as punishment. Even when the child did nothing wrong. At one point during the movie Matilda sneaks into the Principles house to get a doll. In the process she is almost caught, but manages to get away.Matilda tends to out smart her principle because she is so smart. The principle does not appreciate this and that is when Matilda gets in trouble. Eventually the principle leaves because every student turns against her. In the end Matilda leaves her parents to be adopted by the teacher in the movie. This movie is very developmental because of everything the viewer watches. As the viewer watches they learn everything Matilda experiences ranging from her family to school. Matilda the main character of the movie “Matilda is a very intelligent girl who is not understood. She is put down by her parents and most of the time does not even get to prove anything. Matilda’s parents just do not understand her. This happens to many children. When a child is ahead in development, parents sometimes do not understand the attention they need.
