Christie Cavorsi 8 November 2010 Tynan Education 105 Final Reflection Paper I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at West Pelzer Elementary School and I feel greatly appreciative I was able to participate in this experience through Clemson University’s education program. While this is not my first experience doing fieldwork at an elementary school, I feel that I have learned a great deal about the processes of teaching, the way schools work, the children, their attitudes, and I even learned a great deal about myself as a teacher and a person. The time I spent at West Pelzer Elementary School sealed the fact that I would like to continue in the education program and furthermore, in the future, obtain my degree in education. This experience also made me realize that I do enjoy teaching elementary school. I was undecided at first if I may want to teach older children in a high school setting but I realized throughout the course of these visits that I belong teaching the younger children. I find them extremely amusing, and I feel that it is my calling to
