It cools the PV module and thus improves its electrical performance and secondly to collect the thermal energy produced, which would have otherwise been lost as heat to the environment. There are two types of PV/T collectors used. One of which is flat plate and the other is concentrating collector. Flat Plate PV/T collectors look very similar to the well-known flat plate thermal collectors.
