Kevin Bosacki Health 02 October 23, 2005 I Wish I Could Change… I wish I could change my stepbrother’s life. He has endured many hardships in his early years that no child should ever have to encounter at that young of an age. He has also had something happen that no person should ever have to go through in his or her entire life. I first met my stepbrother when we were six. We got along well from the start. We lived a normal life until a beautiful day at Navy Pier turned into one of the worst of my stepbrother’s life. After spending the day on the pier, my step mom and his mom, had a heart attack and died at the age of 43. To make it worse, during the week that his mother struggled to stay alive in the hospital, his grandma who he was really close to, passed away at his mother’s bedside. This alone is a lot to deal with for a young child, but there was more yet to come. After his mother’s death, his father, whom he hadn’t seen or talked to in years, demanded that my stepbrother live with him instead or him living with my dad. At first
