IAFF 005: Spring 2007 M I D T E R M E X A M S T U D Y G U I D E The midterm exam will be held on Thursday, 8 March 2007 during the lecture period. No make-up exams will be given, so be on time and be prepared . The exam will cover everything up to and including Session 22, 6 March 2007. (See the outline on Blackboard for more details). The exam will consist of three parts. The first part entails defining key concepts. The second part of the exam consists of describing and locating events and explaining what perspective emphasizes that event and why. The last part is a short answer section which tests your understanding of the three major theoretical perspectives covered in this course as well as the three levels of analysis . Examples of each section are presented below. Section 1: Defining Key Concepts (30 Points) The end of each chapter in Professor Nau’s textbook presents a list of important terms covered within that chapter. These terms are important.
