India’s only individual Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra ‘s father, a successful businessman didn’t have any problems in funding the equipment, training, coaching and travelling costs and also put up a shooting room at his house. Whereas Asian Games rowing gold medalist, Bajrang Thakar and Olympic wrestling bronze medal winner Sushil Kumar narrated their tales of life in a single room packed with fellow sportsmen without any basic amenities. 2. Mismanagement in Sporting Bodies The best person to lead a sporting federation is a sportsperson itself as he/she can relate to the problems faced by the players and deal with it in the best possible way.
