Though definition of a responsible citizen may vary, considering the red alert in our world, this research limits it to the way we behave and respond to our environment (professional, societal and natural). One of the most important shares in inculcating this behavioural responsibility is of our education system. It is not just about raising awareness but creating a deep drive within individuals to be more accountable for their actions. Actions which they take being an employee at a company or a labourer or a bureaucrat or politician etc. It will take concerted effort and resources to establish education system that encourages social responsibility among youth through revived curricula, programs, practices, and policies across education institutions. Educating for a more socially just and sustainable future in its broadest sense includes improving quality basic education, reorienting education to address sustainability, improving public awareness, and connecting it with a deep motivation so that sustained benefits are...
