Unformatted text preview: echnology, and food, among others will emerge as new sources of revenue as the BPO industry expands, and demand for value-added services should accelerate in the next five years. Conclusion- Just going through the stat table instead of going through the literature of statistics one can easily say that despite of poor infrastructure and technological readiness India is at a comfortable position when size of business comes to picture. Although it is true but time is changing fast and so as our competitors, so we need to stimulate ourselves to search new vistas in this business. As per the stats say we can’t cherish much longer with our cost effectiveness as Philippines and china are also rising as cost effective country and hence innovation and quality of work will also play role. India's high attrition rates, poor infrastructure, and rising wages can abet the country's decline in shared services and outsourcing (SSO) activities. India has non-IT outsourcing to look to, India's key information technology (IT) outsourcing market may be threatened by China's, but outsourcing for other industries in the country is on the rise. Many services that were not offshore earlier will now open up; but volumes in existing services may also shrink. Though, overall the long-term growth presents a healthy picture as increasing cost pressures will ensure that off shoring is imperative. Summing up past performance, current changes and future forecasts it can be concluded that offshoring business will definitely increase both by the foreign and domestic sources. But if we will not act to explore different synergies then may not be sooner but not later also that china will overtake us. So it is time for IT czars to put strain on their brain cells instead of being relaxed and restrained otherwise we might win with figures but will lose our position. References a. b. c. d. e. f.
