EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Talent Management else how to keep the young professional engaged is a recurring topic today among higher executive and board members in any organization. But what does it really mean and why is it important. Attracting and retaining talent has become board room issue that is climbing the corporate agenda. The paper tries to define what we mean by a young professional else most commonly known as a Y generation employee and the steps organization are taking to retain this workforce. It states the pros and cons of such a work force. It gives solutions in form of: Assigning work that challenges these young employees Rewarding them for accomplishing tasks Assigning mentors to these young professionals Providing opportunities which will help them excel in their career Providing constructive feedback 2
