When it comes to movies, The Matrix—which gained international acclaim—put Australia on the map for a great place to film sci-fi films. Festivals like the increasingly popular SupaNova have also embraced sci-fi. When it comes to science fiction and fantasy we’re hoping to find out who likes it the most, men or women. Georgia Flood plays Phoebe in Channel 9’s House Husbands and she is now confirmed as the lead in Christine Rogers independent Australian film Evangeline . As part of our promo trail, we will be conducting a “Girls in Sci-fi webinar” with leading academics and sci-fi actresses to find out whether women like science fiction just as much as men.
