If I wanted to read about gay rights I would find a book called “Gay Rights” instead of pick through “Huckleberry Finn” or “A Separate Peace” for instances which could be construed as the author advocating for gay rights. Unfortunately up to this point I have not seen a real reason to write other than to leave behind a physical documentation of ones thoughts. But at the same time, so many of these thoughts are so feeble and pointless that I also don’t understand why they were even recorded in the first place. So many things that humans think of and write down simply don’t matter in the scope of the universe and will soon be forgotten when looked at in the scope of time. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there is a point to writing that I simply don’t understand. And if that is true and I learn about it then that’s great. But for now writing seems to only serve one purpose. A purpose that has been abused for things that are rather unimportant...
