Lab 1: Density = m (g) /v (mL) As the weight percent sugar increases, so does the density If there is a dirty pipet, the volume pipetted will be less than 10 mL, which means the density will be too big. Forcing out all the solution from the pipet tip will result in too large of a volume, and the density will be too small. Liquid evaporation will result in too small of a volume, and the density will be too large.
