The problem is: Because the agent does not know the geography and perceives only location and local dirt, and cannot remember what just happened, it will get stuck forever against a wall when it tries to move in a direction that is blockedthat is, unless it randomizes. (c) Without randomization, a simple reflex agent cannot go back and forth scanning the whole area. It will get stuck.
