nervousness could be felt in the air. Both teams, wanting to become number one in the nation.
Coach told us our starting line up, and we took our places on the field. I have never felt nervous
before a game, but this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. Just as the referee was putting the
whistle to his mouth, butterflies flew into my stomach. However, I looked around me and
realized nothing had changed, the field was still 120 yards by 80, there were still two goals on
each end, the prize at the end was just greater. When the referee blew his whistle and I took off
down the field, I told myself to play like it was just another game, on just another field....
