Jake Dew Booker Abnormal Psychology April 24, 2007 Matchstick Men Roy Waller is a character in Matchstick Men , a movie that came out in two thousand and three. He is a con man and lives at home by himself. The reason he needs treatment is due to his unhealthy obsessive compulsive disorder which focuses on cleaning and his intense agoraphobia. He also has a case of Tourette’s syndrome which does not help when he becomes agitated at not being able to complete his compulsions. His obsessive compulsive disorder is an extreme case. Roy feels the need to open and close doors three times while counting to three in French as he does this. He also has an unwavering schedule that goes as detailed as to how he throws away his trash when he eats his tuna sandwich every night. He also has a case of hypochondrias. When he seeks help from a psychiatrist he reads off his symptoms as if he had just read the side of a box of drugs. Roy has had one wife to whom he is now divorced.
