You can apply the technique in either case. Scenario, Project or Problem Decomposition The problem can be presented in many ways and may or may not be complete. Your approach should always be to process all the information you have been given. Research those items that you don’t already know or understand and then follow up with the person assigning the task to verify you are on the right track. Processing means decomposing the information that you have been given into short finite items that fall under these categories: • • • • • Goals – a desired result that is specific, measureable, attainable, realistic and timely. 1 Deliverables – a quantifiable good or service that will be provided upon the completion of a project or task. 2 Project Risks – factors which play an important...
