Conventional Dimensioning Conventional Dimensioning Techniques are used to describe these things on an Engineering Drawing: size, shape, location 1. 6. For the position method, the millimeters are above the inch dimension and separated by a dimensioning or added line. For the Bracket Method, the millimeters are placed within parenthesis. It also included a note to identify dimension values.
