Dan Hitman March 13, 2008 English 121-750 Professor O’Brien As the year passed young Atticus Finch realized he was growing closer and closer to joining the work force, the real world. This being his last year in law school he wondered where his life would take him. Today is March the 3 rd and he is walking down an old dirt road in his home town, Maycomb. Nicely dressed in his Sunday’s best he is on his way to a movie in the town center. As he is walking he notices a small older woman struggling with groceries on the other side of the street. Atticus looks down at his pocket watch and sees he has plenty of time until the movie starts. He crosses the street and grabs some of the packages from the old woman, “May I help you with your things ma’am?” he asked. “Yes, thank you young man”, replied the old woman. Atticus takes off his jacket and places it over the fence. The two carry the groceries and remaining things into the house. When they finished the old woman retired into the house. Atticus yelled, “have a nice day ma’am”, and turned to be on his way;
