Madison Drain Professor Jennings 2/24/21Kinsey paper I never really realized that sex was so completely different back then in the 50’s, I guess since I live in such a different era and time period everything, I’ve grown up knowing has just been engraved in me and I’ve never looked at sex as something that would be deemed wrong. Kinsey was a very intelligentperson who honestly saved the world we lived in now from being either scared or intimidated by sex. His research was bold and secretive but also so educational. You can tell by the people’s reactions in the short film, “Biography of Alfred Kinsey,” (2004.) That a lot of men and women actually loved and fascinated all the facts that Kinsey brought forth. I think he sparked a small rebellion and uprising in the way a lot ofpeople think, because he accepted and actually influenced men and women to enjoy something so humanly done. Kinsey research was a wakeup call for America, even though a lot of people hated it and felt that what he was doing was wrong. Kinsey knew better and that’s why he went out of his way to go against his father and go to school somewhere where he could just do what he loved, which was to educate on the topic of sex. If Kinsey didn’t conduct research so deep and exposed, we might still be the same America who dedicates their life and bodies to churches.
