Reaction to Arm Wrestling With My Father This article made me think about me and my dad. My dad wasn’t big on competitions between me and him. But he would love being at competitions I were in. All my life I was always on baseball, basketball or football teams. My dad was always at all the games he could possibly make. He was there for usually all of them. I don’t want to sound like I’m conceited but I was a phenomenal 3 sport athlete. I was always the best on all my teams. My dad told me that watching me play sports was one of the best things he ever got to do during his life. He would offer me advice on some things but not too much advice. He knew I knew sports and was confident I can adjust on my own. I’m happy my father wasn’t involved with sports while I was playing sports. I wouldn’t want it to feel like a competition between me and my dad. Even though I would have confidence in beating him in any sport I played, I wouldn’t have wanted to

What is the purpose of your dad making someone feel small or a child making a father feel small? A best thing a father can do for a son is be supportive. I understand where the boy was coming from in this article not wanting to beat his dad in arm wrestling. I would feel terrible for my father. He would probably think along the lines of being defeated, and him losing control of his son. I wouldn’t want him to feel that way because it wouldn’t be true. Strength or athletic ability has nothing to do with love. Your father is going to be there for you no matter what. My father was always there for me during my athletic days. He may not have been beating me in sports or teaching me, but he was always there for support and always there cheering me and my teams on....
