Are the problems associated with using phenotypic selection for breeding programs? The factors that can influence phenotypic expression of a genotype are the genes of the sire and dam as well as the percent of heritability that is passed on to the offspring. One of the problems that is associated with using phenotypic selection for a breeding program is that you can never completely control what the offspring will be in association with dominant and recessive genes. 2.a Explain how stem cell research, cloning, invitro fertilization, and embryo transfer techniques can be use to enhance the protection of endangered species / genetic material and help improve the health and welfare of both humans and animals. Stem cell research, cloning, invitro fertilization, and embryo transfer techniques can be used to help protect endangered animals by using these practices to help repopulate a group of animal’s population that might be in danger of becoming extinct. Cloning and embryo transfer techniques would be of the most use in this case because
