Exploring Science through Film Reaction Paper Einstein’s Big Idea Although the equation E=mc 2 is very well-known, most people are not familiar with what it actually represents and how it was derived and discovered. The Nova documentary Einstein’s Big Idea did an effective job at presenting Einstein’s life and personality and how he discovered his famous equation. It was interesting to note that Einstein was only extremely focused on specific subjects such as the maths and sciences, while he was uninterested in areas such as literature and writing. I think the extreme passion that Einstein had towards the maths and sciences is a major factor of what made him so brilliant. Einstein’s immense dedication towards these subjects reveals that he had a strong foundation of knowledge in the math/sciences area so it made it easier for him to
