Wilson’s Fourteen Points – US President Wilson proposed these points in order to try to prevent another war in Europe. Some of them include: 1. No Secret treaties. 2. Freedom in the Seas. 3. Free trade for all nations. 4. Self determination. These led to Wilson to push for the establishment of the League of Nations. Self Determination – This means that every nationality should be able to rule itself without having another country rule over it. Poland was granted this by receiving lands from Germany and Russia, thus enabling it to form a democratic country.
