All products that are ingested or may be absorbed through the skin are tested for pes.cide residues. PIC (Pior Informed Consent) addresses the export of pes.cides. Many countries do not have the kind of protec.ve laws we have or have low enforcement of their laws. PIC states that expor.ng countries must inform impor.ng countries of the restric.ons on the use of the pes.cide in the expor.ng country. This regula.on on interna.onal trade is administered and monitored by the UN.
