Rebecca Young Mass Comm (151) Investigate the world of Twittering journalists. What popular journalists engage in such practice? How many followers do they have? What obvious advantages are there to journalist tweets? What are the drawbacks? Some of today’s most popular journalists that engage in the practice of Twitter include: David Gregory, Rachel Maddow, Scott Simon, David Pogue, Chuck Todd, Rick Klein, and many more that take part in using Twitter as a way to share the latest news with the public. David Gregory is a popular T.V. journalist in America and is also involved in ABC’s morning news’ show called Meet the Press. He currently has 528,356 followers on Twitter. Rachel Maddow has 506,951 followers and her popularity stems from her late night show on MSNBC called The Rachel Maddow Show. She is also a television host and a political commentator. Scott Simon is a host as well as an American journalist who has 360,861 followers. He works for National Public Radio and is a popular host for NPR. David
