NBC: Schedule for the Network of the Century The National Broadcasting Company, NBC for short, has been a predominant driving force in the TV industry. It is a broadcast channel, available with or without cable, and locally airs on WRC, channel 4. Its channel programming over the course of a day is very comprehensive, and has a variety of different programs depending on the time of day. The early morning hours, between 7am and 9am, is taken up by the Today Show, which runs through the 9 o clock hour. The morning is essentially taken up by a talk show. I would not advocate having a talk show take up the entire morning programming, but having a local edition of the news at 7 before the today show, then having the today show at 8am-10am. This would serve those who leave the house in the 7am hour for school or work better as the audience would be ore receptive to the news than to The Today Show. Between 9am and 12 noon, there are a series of shows that are mostly viewed by those who stay at home. By 10am, The Today Show is over and the news comes on from
