The Japan Times: Tokyo, JAPAN (Recommended) Objectives of the course: This course aims to build the pre-advanced level of four language skills in Japanese--listening, speaking, reading and writing--for people who are visiting Japan to study or work in the future. Attendance and make up quizzes policies: The nature of language learning is such that missing even one class will be detrimental to your progress. Absence is permitted only for "legitimate" reasons. Please bring a doctor's slip or other supporting document in advance in case where you cannot avoid missing a class. 6. 7. 8. To get copies of accompanied cassette tapes to the required textbook for this course, take empty ones to the Language Resource Center or buy tapes there. It will be rated according to the guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Teaching of Foreign Languages.
