This database covers the original scientific literature published in refereed journals in the fields of agriculture, biochemistry, biomedicine, biotechnology, botany, ecology, microbiology, pharmacology and zoology. Web of Science indexes the table of contents of more than 9,000 scientific publications. Its content overlaps that of BIOSIS previews but the more recent publications appear more quickly in this database. Both BIOSIS previews and Web of Science are available through the ISI Web of Knowledge portal. Medline is a bibliographic database covering biomedical sciences (about 3,900 scientific journals).
