Having faith doesn’t mean writing, speaking, or mediating about it, but it’s about having a deep connection with it. Luther said that “he who has had even a taste of it can never write, speak, mediate, or hear enough concerning it.” This probably means that once you’ve actually developed a relationship with God and his sayings, you can never get enough of it. Luther also says that it is impossible to write well about it or understand what has been written about it until said person has faced trials that oppress him, thus opening his eyes to faith. This shows Luther believe that faith comes after you’ve gone through a hardship that proves to you that God is there. 2.)
