Why I chose this company:I chose CD Projekt RED mainly because I’m a gamer and CD Projekt RED has made someof my favorite games in recent history. Most notably is their Witcher series which hasgarnered worldwide attention. CD Projekt Red makes great games by focusing on theplayers, not the profits. In order to craft the best games possible, CD Projekt Red focuses onthe player experience instead of the money, which I feel is an important aspect and makesevery game they release truly innovative.Background InformationCD Projekt RED have developed their own engine in house for making their games.Called the RED engine, it provides the developers with many quality of life features andmakes updating code and other sources much easier than other game engines.(Key, 2019)It also gives the developer more freedom with updating the game with new features andupdates, making for a shorter turn out rate than other companies in terms of updating theirgame’s software to the customer at home. I was able to find that the key reasons playerkeeps playing and buying the Witcher games is through both sociological and technologicalavenues. Sociological because of how the immersion and the narrative pull the personthrough the game and truly feel like you yourself are making these choices in the game andmaking deep and personal connections towards the user. (Webs, 2018) Technologicalbecause of the advancements made throughout the series in terms of graphics and worldbuilding. It was revealed thatThe Witcher 3 gamewas valued as the second largest gameproject in Europe, as their market value has climbed to $8 billion from the $6.8 billion itwas valued at last month. The number one game company in Europe at the time was
Ubisoft, which have been valued at $9.6 billion. This has flourished the European gamemarket and has opened doors for indie startup game studios in the Europe market overall.(Morton, 2020)Customer Segments·Millennial Men and Women:The core customer target are men and women ages 18-35.The problem being solved is the lack of an enthralling and engaging action RPG with adetailed story and lots of quests and adventures to go on.Value Proposition·Escaping Reality:The value that is being provided is at its core, purely entertainment.Although a portion of the customer base are so engrossed with the game and the lorebehind it, that it becomes a part of their identity and something that represents theirinterests and passions.·New Content:‘A game expansion is a value proposition, hosted events can be another.Events may be arranged before, during, or after game release to promote the game.’These events can be seen as value propositions as they give customers extra benefits inthe form of entertainment by adding to the overall experience of the game.Reed, K.
