They have shed the "old guy" image that was prevalent for many years. They market on item that are more likely to be viewed by their target audience. I can find their ads in my Sports Illustrated issues but have never seen one in my Bloomberg Markets magazines. They have expanded in the young male market much like Unilever did with Axe products. They knew they could not successfully market Dove beauty products to young males so they created the Axe brand. Once Axe was seen as too immature for older men, they started the Dove for men product campaign. I have to admit it was a great method to reach three markets with basically the same product line.
