Organizations must be mindful of what changes they can make in their marketing strategies that can make the business more productive and efficient for those that they are targeting. For the Home Depot, opportunity analysis can be seen in what customers are buying in a particular season and making sure that enough of these products are in stock for them to buy. For instance, this past winter, snow blowers and shovels were high in demand. We were selling out of them, so it was important that when our next shipment came in we had enough of these products for the customers. We saw that these products were our strength; selling out of them was somewhat of a weakness; it was our opportunity to order enough; and our threat would to have been not to have enough again. Both market analysis and opportunity analysis are important factors when organizations are considering who they are targeting to sell their business to. It is beneficial to keep these analyses in mind when wanting to please the customers.
