Many people aren't as good at managing their money and spend it as soon as they earn it. The 23 years rather sounds more attractive to many as well. This is a great way to market an old product (mortgage loan) in a new way (shorter term, more frequent payment plan). It appears to be a better deal.....at least on the surface. If they purchase too many and don't sell them all they are stuck with them. If they run out of them and can't get them fast enough, their reputation is harmed. The best scenario, of course, would be able to forecast the weather and forecast the correct needs, but that is tough for anyone. Market and opportunity analysis is a continual process that must change and adapt as the market needs change.
