Apparatus Sparker And Materials: Burner Tubing 2 Cobalt Glass Plates Test Tubes Forceps Platinum Wire in Glass Tube 6M Hydrochloric Acid Sodium Chloride Barium Nitrate Calcium Nitrate Lithium Nitrate Potassium Nitrate Sodium Nitrate Strontium Nitrate Procedure: 1. Get all apparatuses and materials 2. Clean 10 test tubes using 6M HCl and distilled water 3. Clean a Platinum Wire using 6M HCl 4. Repeat till wire imparts no color to the flame. 5. Pour 4mL of Sodium Nitrate into a clean test tube 6. Dip tip of clean platinum wire into the solution, 7. Hold in flame 8. Heat tip of flame 9. Record color that the flame becomes 10. Repeat steps 6-9 for all substances 11. Examine the sodium nitrate flame through 2 layers of cobalt glass. 12. Combine Sodium Nitrate and Potassium Nitrate
