Dr.Marston was a Harvard psychologist who believed that people develop self-concept based uponeither, dominance (D), influence (I), steadiness (S), or conscientiousness C). DISC is theacronym for these four factors. There are two specific motivators that drive our behaviors whichare motor and compass drive. The motor or pace drive represents a person being outgoing orreserved while the compass/priority drive reflects whether people are people or task oriented.This took is used to help people improve their teamwork, communication and productivity skills.It raises self-awareness and enables others to manage more effectively. Those with D personalityare confident and accomplish bottom line rules. I personalities are open and emphasizerelationships and persuading others.
