Neil Perry’s father just couldn’t let his son live the life he wanted to live. Everything that Neil did from his activities down to his life was planned and chosen for him by his father. The strict father had already planned out the rest of his son’s life. Neil was to graduate from Welton Academy, then attend Harvard University with a medical degree to become a doctor. Mr. Perry once said to Neil, “Son, you have opportunities that I never even dreamt of, and I am not going to let you waste them.” Neil’s life was everything it could have been except for what he wanted it to be. Neil was a senior at Welton and an outstanding, well involved student who seemed to be very happy with what ahead of him at Welton. On the first few days of school Mr. Perry decided that Neil had too many activities on his plate and took him out of the Yearbook Club in which he was the Editor for. He did this without his permission and there was only one thing Neil could do about it; live with it. Neil couldn’t even fight
